Dr. Ray introduces conventional chord progressions in both major and minor keys. The order in which these chords appear relates to "functional harmony" which will be discussed later in more depth. Also, even many of the more extensive/complex progressions found in tonal repertoire are often just elaborations of these very basic chord motions.
