Mirror- used to examine the teeth and other structures within the mouth
Explorer- Determine the presence of caries
Scaler- instrument that your dentist uses to clear away plaque and tartar at each of your semi-annual professional cleanings
Spoon excavator -used for cutting and removing the carious dentine of a decayed tooth
Perio probe -small measuring device that is gently used to evaluate the health of the bone and gingiva surrounding each tooth.
Cotton pliers- the placement of cotton rolls for isolation, as well as for the retrieval of small objects intra-orally.
Condenser- hand instrument with a flat serrated tip or face used for compressing composite
Ball burnisher -composite, plastic and amalgam placement and contouring.
Plastic instrument- used to shape and removed excess filling material from a tooth.
