In 2013, I was preparing for Miss California and realized that I had to learn how to do my own hair and makeup.
I found myself googling and researching online but there just weren't a ton of results. I hobbled together learnings from videos, blogs, and makeup artists and pulled together this basic routine for pageants and appearances.
This video a basic pageant makeup tutorial for beginners. I'm by no means a makeup artist but I had to do my own makeup for Miss America so I picked up a couple of techniques along the way.
