Gas Injection Technology (GIT) is an innovative solution to create molded plastic pieces for cars, plastic toys, equipment, and more. GIT uses pressurized nitrogen in the mold to pack out a part during its cooling phase. The nitrogen is injected into the grooves and gas channels in the part, such that the liquid resin is distributed as evenly as possible. This process also allows for evenly distributed cooling, which can prevent stress, warping, and sink marks. In addition, the GIT process uses less resin to create the part, which reduces cost, creates a stronger and lighter final product, and has a positive impact on the environment. To learn more about BAUER Compressors’ GIT solutions, check out our brand new video below, featuring our Plastics Technology Group Sales Manager, Rick Goralski.
