Like I stated in the video, I was not using delica beads for the tutorial. However, all beaded pods, like beaded boxes, need delica beads. Delicas sit together much nicer than rounds, are more uniform and give a much nicer look over all.
All bead pods are made using a combination of herringbone stitch and peyote stitch. The herringbone is used on the corners and peyote for everything else.
My scissors were underneath my beading mat, which is why I couldn't find them.
