Beadschool Tutorial - Techniques: Zipping Up Peyote

This Beadschool tutorial is about the technique of Zipping Up Peyote. One of the great things about Peyote is the characteristic toothy, turreted edges at both ends of a strip. When you want to turn a strip into ring or circle, join two pieces of Peyote beadwork together or even make a repair to Peyote beadwork, it's so easy - you just need to zip it up! This is a really useful technique to get under your belt and produces a very satisfying, neat and seamless result. The most important thing you need to ensure is that the two ends you are joining are the 'opposites' of each other. This means when you bring them together, they must complement each other, so that where there is a space for a bead on one edge, there will be a corresponding bead ready to fill that space on the other edge.
