Beatbox tutorial - Whistle snare
http://www.fattonybbx.com This is one of the first totally original sounds I came up with and it's remained a firm favorite of mine as a result. It's admittedly a little unwieldy as far as sounds go - after all, you can't take air while doing it, you can't hum while doing it, and the whistle is rather hard to get consistant - but it's still a nice alternative to a handclap or inward rimshot. To make the sound: 1 - Learn the inward rimshot by following my amazingly awesome tutorial - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WoAP6DvLLs 2 - Learn how to whistle inwards 3 - Do a light inward K with your lips in the whistling position Odd blooper today, by the way. I don't even recall sitting there for that long going "qoo qoo qoo qoo" but there we are. Described as "[one] of the finest exponents of the hip-hop discipline" by YouTube's music blog, Fat Tony's tutorial series is THE definitive guide to learning how to beatbox.
