Becoming Her

“Becoming Her” is more than a song it’s a piece of my real, raw journey with God. Yesterday morning, I sat down to write and felt led to go back through my old journal entries from 2022–2024. As I read those pages, I saw a version of myself who was once hurting, searching, questioning, growing, and trying to understand her worth and her place in God’s plan. There were prayers I forgot I prayed, tears I remember crying, and moments where I didn’t feel strong but God was still there through it all. I took those exact words, those honest conversations with God, and turned them into lyrics. And somehow, it all came together into something so much bigger than me. This song is about healing. It’s about surrender. It’s about struggling with faith but choosing God anyway. It’s about letting go of who I was and trusting Him to shape me into who I’m meant to be. “Becoming Her” represents the process the quiet, behind-the-scenes work God is doing in me.
