On Saturday, March 28, 2026 we had our 44nd Annual Beeping Easter Egg Hunt. Thank you for being part of it with us!
This event means a lot to us — not just because it’s fun, but because it reflects our mission here at The Lighthouse of Houston: to enable and empower people who are blind or low vision to realize their full potential. We had families connecting, kids exploring, volunteers cheering them on. It’s community in the truest sense. These families mean so much to us and that’s what makes this event so special.
None of this would be possible without our volunteers and sponsors. We had over 51 volunteers at the event, giving their time, their energy, and their hearts. A special shoutout to the Meagan Collins Foundation, University of Houston Delta Gamma, BP, Memorial Hermann, our Lighthouse Board Members, and of course our incredible Lighthouse staff. We’re deeply grateful to every single person who showed up, donated, supported, or helped make this day meaningful, welcoming, and full of connection. And we were honored to receive a proclamation from Council Member Abbie Kamin’s office, recognizing the impact of this event and the importance of inclusion in our community.
