Beginner Choreography Lesson #2
This lesson is about discovering how you can move in the space around you. There are exciting examples of choreographing in non-traditional spaces. Students are challenged to create dances based on the artwork of Jackson Pollock, Piet Mondrian, and Wassily Kandinsky. A wonderful companion to this course is the second edition of Dance Composition Basics by Pamela Anderson Sofras. The book includes featured works by Alonzo King and Dwight Roden.
