Here are some things you can work on at home or at open skate to tighten up your footwork. You want to practice things that will decrease your width on the track and increase your ability to accelerate and maintain control. I'm sorry about some of the quality, I had a tiny space to demo and no one to hold the camera!! (Sorry, I thought I got through that whole thing without swearing. One curse at the end. You have been warned) **Note: I say at one point that running on your wheels is better than toe stops for running on. It's not that toe stops are BAD for running on, but you need to be able to do both, and many times a duck run will accelerate you past an incoming running blocker better than thinking about how to transition to your toe stops. Moral of the story - I'm just trying to get you away from toe stop dependency and onto your edges!
