My very kind friend specially prepared a scoby for me upon knowing I am keen to brew my own kombucha. I am hoping that regular drinking of this can help alleviate some of my bloating symptoms! Looking forward to brewing a larger vessel when my scoby enlarges!
Recipe as follows:
- 6 bags of lipton black tea
- 3 litres of boiled water
- 220g of raw sugar
- ferment for 10-12 days.
- keep the fermentation undisturbed in a darkened place
- cover container with kitchen paper or coffee filter - breathable/keep dust or foreign objects out.
- use a wide-mouth jar / container
- do not mix different kinds of tea (eg green tea etc). This recipe is for lipton/black tea only.
