Don't mind me I'm just an almost 30 year old woman being depressed about a fictional teenage couple hahahaaa kill me. Well Darren Barnet the actor who plays Paxton on the show is already 30 so... if he can be on the show I can watch it and have break downs about it LOL. Honestly that's so weird to me, he's officially the oldest actor I've ever experienced playing a high schooler.. and to me it kinda shows haha... it sort of comes out in his acting to me I'm not gonna lie, he's just not.. teenage-like in my opinion?? lol.. so that may be one of the reasons I'm just not really a huge fan of Paxton. I just don't connect to him at all, I mean I'm happy for him that he is growing and maturing as a character, and glad that Devi can help him do that, but she did that for him when they were friends.. they don't need to date for her to help him. SHE NEEDS BEN AND BEN NEEDS HER. He's her moral compass and she brings him back down when he's being too pretentious haha. They just both challenge and push each other in a way that no one else can do for them, they match each other's energy and intellect and ughhh they are just such a good pairing. I'm sad though I feel like I've been seeing more Devi/Paxton love after this season, and maybe it's because of my.. advanced age lmao.. that makes me enjoy Ben/Devi more but like.. I dunno I'm sorry I just really don't see the appeal in those two. Also the entire season she expressed she still had feelings for Ben, but I never really saw her regret losing Paxton.. so it just seems to me like he's her second choice. I also kinda feel like that with Aneesa and Ben. Aneesa's cool and nice but had Ben known how much Devi had been thinking about him this whole season, as we saw on his face in the last scene when he realized, he probbaly wouldn't have dated Aneesa. COME ON HIS FACEEE ugh he's still so in love with Devi it's obvious. I understand that Devi probably needs to experience dating Paxton first for a little while to get it out of her system, because she's held him on a pedastol for so long, but I just don't ultimately see how that would work out. And come on guys we all see it.. I feel like they're so clearly setting up a slow burn endgame for Benvi. The dance scenes.. omg. ALSO AT THE DANCE BEN'S POCKET SQUARE MATCHED DEVI'S DRESS PERFECTLY.. that's some endgame foreshadowing right thereee haha. I also liked how this season we saw Devi's mom start to like/date her nemisis lol come on, enemies to lovers is a theme in this show and it's the superior one that will get the endgame. WOW sorry I hate myself for getting so many feels over these high school idiots. lmao whatever I can keep watching teen shows as long as I want, especially if they're by queen Mindy Kaling!
