The Bernina 700 was made in Switzerland in the mid 1960s, it is a very
handsome machine notable for its precision engineering, build quality
and strength, it weighs in at around 13.5 kg.
The machine can do adjustable straight stitch, zigzag and reverse, the
needle position can be varied and the feed dogs can be dropped, via a
switch on the base, to facilitate embroidery and darning.
