BERNINA Broken Front Casing Replacement
The front casing on these Bernina models have the tendency to break in a way that makes them loose. The screw holes eventually crack and disintegrate, making the mounting screws fall out. The cover can get so loose it almost falls off the machine. Luckily, Bernina supplies a replacement front casing with modified screw posts and screws. The kit also includes a handy table extension/flat bed. This video covers removal of the broken casing, swapping the facias and electronic components and assembly. There are also some other broken screw mounts that I fix up as required.
