Beyond Technical - Episode 6: Getting Classy With Controllers

Beyond Technical is back with episode 6, this week features a whole bunch of controllers. The three main types of controllers are #1: Plain PS3/Xbox controllers #2: Fight pads (example here: http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/accessories/official-street-fighter-iv-fightpad-for-xbox-360/73048) #3: Fight Stick The main controller that everybody will recommend is the madcatz TE fight stick or the RAP Hori stick. Both of these are great suggestions and run about $150, however if you're looking to save money and still want to pick up a stick the madcatz SE stick is about $80 and will work just fine as a starter stick. They are a lower quality product and they break much earlier and will give you more headaches down the road so only pick this up if you don't want to fully invest in the game right away. If you're looking to play there's absolutely nothing wrong with using a controller, but if you want to step up and grab a fight stick definitely look towards a TE or RAP.
