This is a 1/48 scale model of a Biloxi fishing schooner I built several years ago. I created the plans from my extensive research on Biloxi schooners over the past two decades using local builder's models, oral histories, customs house documents, contemporary photos, and contemporary newspaper articles.
The model is plank on bulkhead construction and measures 18 inches long fully rigged. Everything on the model was made from scratch save the chain for the anchor. I learned a lot building this model and I hope to build another Biloxi schooner model soon that incorporates all of the lessons learned. Thank you for watching.
