Biodiversity and physical activity
We’re experiencing the impacts of climate change more than ever before. It’s creating poor air and water quality, more extreme weather events and impacting on our ability to do and watch the activities we love, like taking part in sport. It’s affecting all life on earth, from the animals and plants we can see to the microorganisms we don’t – we call this biodiversity. Biodiversity makes our planet strong and resilient. We need to take care of it, so it can take care of us. In this animation, Chris Boardman CBE explains what we mean by biodiversity and the different ways that sports clubs and community organisations can play a part in taking action today.
