I was inspired by different things on this song. Artists like M83 and Imagine Dragons but also the TRON Legacy films, so you can guess what the song might sound like given these influences. ‘Down Below‘ is about finally understanding and realizing what’s good for you while cutting out what’s toxic at the same time. It’s about rising above the things that and people who have held you down.”
