BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION CAKE TUTORIAL - Addi - Sentro - Circular Knitting Machine Tutorial
In this video, I will show you how to make your very own Birthday Celebration Cake. For this project, you will need either a 46 pin Addi, or 48 pin Sentro circular knitting machine, and an i-cord maker. The i-cord maker is optional. I do have a tutorial that will show you how to make an i-cord by using your circular knitting machines. The link for that tutorial can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqQ6PsSr9Vc&t=18s Here are the row counts and measurements for your tube and i-cords. (these colors are based on making the vanilla strawberry cake) Main cake: Cast on with white yarn on your 46 pin Addi, or your 48 pin Sentro machine. Knit 120 rows. Bottom icing: With pink yarn, cast on 7 stitches onto any size circular knitting machine. Knit until your panel measures approximately 23 inches. Top icing: With pink yarn, cast on 11 stitches with the same machine. Knit until your panel measures approximately 23 inches. Rosettes (make 5): On an i-cord maker, or by using your circular knitting machine, cast on with your pink yarn. Knit until your i-cord measure approximately 7 inches. Larger Rosette (make 1): Follow the previous step to knit this i-cord. Continue until it measures approximately 13 inches. Birthday Candle (make as many as you want): Begin by knitting the same way you do for the rosettes. After a few rows, take a pipe cleaner that has been cut to 3 inches in length, and insert it into the center of the i-cord you are currently making. Knit until you've covered the length of the pipe cleaner. I hope you enjoyed making this cake with me. Come back often to see what I come up with next. Let's get cranking!
