The Biscay Gulf is an interconnection project linking France and Spain via 400 km of HVDC power cables, designed, manufactured, and installed by Prysmian. Once operational in 2028, it will increase the energy exchange capacity between the two countries to 5 GW. Featuring Europe’s longest microtunnel and low-impact construction methods, Biscay Gulf project will set a new benchmark in sustainable infrastructure.
