"Black n White" by JamAttack (Demon) | Geometry Dash 2.2

This is @JamAttack's latest level, "Black n White". It's been released recently and I've been meaning to review it for a while now. As should be obvious considering the name, the main idea for the level is that all of the deco in it is completely black and white. Now, as with other works by JamAttack, this is a great level. As per other works of theirs there's somewhat of a focus on really neat effects but I can't say I've seen them make effects of this scale. Though I might be wrong, I can see some kind of inspiration from Xstar7, most notably in the first drop wave with the sort of "shockwave" pulsing effects. I can't say that I have a specific favorite part, but I do find the first ship to be kinda weak compared to the rest considering how "outdated" it looks; nontheless, even that part is actually quite nice. I would say this is one of my favorite levels with a black and white concept, and that's for a good reason: as JamAttack's levels tend to be, this level has a really fun almost cartoony vibe in some parts and it's a good way to brighten up the mood considering that colors were unused except for one part; that and the overall dynamics of the level fit really well with the song they picked. One of the more interesting parts, although not necessarily above the other parts, is the robot part at around 55 seconds in: I really like the backgrounds mainly as I've never really seen this kind of "dotted" look used this way; it's unexpected from jamattack but I'm not complaining. Overall this is a great level in my opinion though I do think it's a step-down from their previous works (not surprising considering their last rated work was a level made in 500 hours and their latest layout was made in 150 hours, while this one probably took up less time AND was an older level that got recently finished); with everything said, I would hope for this to be rated soon (at the time of writing this review it has yet to be rated) and I could see this getting a low-mid epic rate. I'm glad to see a new level from jamattack and it really doesn't disappoint.
