Hey there,
this is a new simple addon I have written to improve the worflow for creating unified uv layouts for multiple objects. So currently it is not so simple to create one uv layout for more than one object. At the moment you had to merge objects together, edit the uvs and then separate objects out again. With this addon this process is obsolete. Straight forward uv editing for multiple objects is here. Just select the objects you want to edit the uv's and press the operator. Once you are done with editing press tab to get back to object mode and thats it.
