In this adhoc meeting, BlenderBIM Add-on developer Dion Moult shows the current development of generating 2D documentation for architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) using OpenBIM methodologies and FOSS / libre software.
Dion demonstrates creating drawings and exporting them to .svg files. Plan views are mostly completed, but elevation still need improvement. Basic dimensioning is complete but not very smart yet. Hatches can be created post production using open-source software like Inkscape.
Grids now can be adjusted and automatically bounded by the view created. Labels can also be used but the current approach might be changed in the future.
