April 09, 2024 WCLN Conference 10:00 AM Presentation Eric Beck, PhD, D(ABMM) is the Clinical Laboratory Director of Microbiology for the Advocate Aurora Health System laboratories in West Allis, WI and Rosemont, IL. He received his BS from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and his PhD from Colorado State University. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Arthropod-borne Infectious Disease Division. Dr. Beck also has significant experience with molecular diagnostics and currently serves on several infection control and antibiotic stewardship committees within the Advocate Aurora Health System. Eric is an “At-large” member of the WCLN Laboratory Technical Advisory Group. Jorn Bansberg, BS, MLS(ASCP), is the Microbiology Lead at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua. He completed his BS in Biochemistry at UW – Madison and his BS in Medical Technology at UW La Crosse. Jorn has spent his career working as a generalist in rural communities where he especially enjoys microbiology, quality assurance, proficiency testing management and teaching MLT students and techs. Jorn is a member of the WCLN Laboratory Technical Advisory Group representing Region 4.
