Today we're quickly going through some advanced functions in Bloomberg that are useful. This is, by no means, an exhaustive list. Nor are the functions as advanced as they get. Trust me, they get pretty wild! I hope to keep digging into these functions with you. The functions listed are in order of their appearance in the video: BICO – Get a quick primer on what a company is about via Bloomberg Intelligence CACS – Corporate Actions for a firm. DRIV – Company Drivers BRC – Research Portal for a Single Security. EEB – Estimate Consensus Detail. Gives more info on where estimate numbers come from. CAST – Capital Structure of a company. CF – Company Filings, aggregated from the SEC. DDIS – Debt Distribution of a particular firm. BETA – Track an equity’s performance versus a benchmark. ESG – Environmental, Social, & Governance factors relating to a firm. MEMB – Constituents that make up an index MOV – Equity Index Movers. See what’s moving the highest and lowest. ICS – Useful for a top-down analysis, sorted by industry classifications. CMM – Country Market Movers – General Dashboard of what’s happening in the market. CRPR – Credit Rating Profile DRSK – the Bloomberg Default Risk function. CFND – Correlation Finder. Allows you find correlation in any security universe. SRCH – Allows you to search for fixed income securities. And just for fun… RICH – Bloomberg Billionaires’ Index
