i really wanted to do my own piano interpretation of “Blue Bossa” by Kenny Dorham
the original is such a timeless jazz piece, and i’ve always loved how smooth and relaxed its bossa-inspired groove feels. there’s something really simple but really emotional about the harmony and flow that always stuck with me.
so this version is my attempt at translating that classic jazz feel into a solo piano arrangement — keeping the soft bossa rhythm and warm harmony, but expressing it in a more minimal, intimate way on the piano.
it was really fun to explore how those jazz chords move when you strip everything down like this and let the piano carry the whole mood
