Bluebells at Hackfall Woods

Hackfall Woods in North Yorkshire is transformed for a short time each spring, when bluebells blanket the ancient woodland floor. I spent a quiet morning exploring the forest during peak bloom, capturing the stillness, soft morning light, and natural atmosphere of this unique valley at one of its most fleeting moments. This is a purely audiovisual experience, shaped by the sounds of the woodland and a cinematic approach to movement through the landscape. Using a mix of grounded shots, close detail, aerial perspectives, and more experimental angles, I wanted to capture Hackfall in a way that feels true to the experience of walking there at first light.
