Bluetooth Enabling a Cheap Ammeter / Voltmeter

After getting a cheap panel-mount voltmeter / ammeter ($8, eBay) I configured a microcontroller (ATMega328, $3) to read its value (by sampling the multiplexed display) and transmit it to a PC using a HC-06 bluetooth serial module ($4, eBay).
