Boat Building Academy Weekly Update

It’s been a full and productive week at the Academy, with multiple courses running side by side. Our 40-week Boat Building students have been busy working on stems and hatches, and construction is now underway on two new boats. Meanwhile, our January 12-week Furniture Making students, who joined us on Monday, have started their first practice project: a wooden frame featuring a different joint at each corner. Elsewhere on site, our Intro to Boat Building course has been taking place on the mezzanine, while GRP Repairs has been running in the courtyard classroom.
