Bob was the first black engineer to mix concerts in stadiums in the USA during the mid 70’s his album credits, Parliament-Clones Of Dr Funkenstein 1976, Funkadelic-Hardcore Jollies 1976, Funkadelic-Tales Of Kidd Funkadelic 1976, Parliament Live-P-Funk Earth Tour 1977 & the timeless iconic Funkadelic-One Nation Under A Groove album in 1978 (by Erique Dial) Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Phillipina Flowers-Bishop, and the Bishop Family. Obituary Bob Rogers Bishop Bob Rogers Bishop, age 71 was born on March 12, 1952, in Moundsville, AL departed this earthly home on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Bob was the Sound Engineer for George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. He was the first black Sound Engineer for 20,000 and above set venues. He also worked with Irvin Mayfield and Bill Summers just to name a few. Bob was the loving husband of Phillipina Flowers Bishop. Beloved father of Bob Jr., Anthony, Sean, and Richelle Bishop. Devoted brother of George, Charles, Mildred and Johnny Bishop, Elizabeth Banks, and Laura Powell. He was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, one great granddaughter, cousins, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents George Bishop and Cleo Rogers Bishop; his son Robert Bishop; and his siblings Johnny Mae Hines, Ann Walker and Louise Brown. Private Burial.
