Established in 2024 by multi-instrumentalists Catherine Rannus and Reuben Barrett, the project represents a unique sonic intersection. It merges Catherine’s classically trained melodic depth with Reuben’s raw, self-taught rhythmic energy, creating a dialogue between two distinct musical worlds. Taking their name from jazz pioneer Buddy Bolden, the duo is dedicated to evolving the nu-jazz tradition for a new generation.
