Bombshell Bath Bombs DIY!

CBLVBombshell bath bombs are hollow on the inside. Fill them with whatever you want! I wouldn’t recommend this project to beginners... But if you're new & feeling brave, go for it! With my help & my tips, I believe that a beginner can make this project! RECIPE: 1 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup citric acid, 1/4 cup corn starch, 1 tablespoon SLSa Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, or an alternate "bubble bath maker" https://youtube.com/shorts/cmX1nyyTiWoor ) + 10 milliliters [skin safe] fragrance oil, 3 milliliters polysorbate 80, 5 milliliters water. The SLSa slows reactions in the water, makes the foam more lathery, & makes the bath bomb last longer. Water makes the bath bomb dry hard. Adding more water creates a harder bomb. This recipe has the perfect amount of polysorbate 80, but too much polysorbate 80 make bombs soft. Thin liquids cause premature reactions in the mix (not good). Polysorbate 80 is recommended to emulsify the water into a viscous [thick] solution. Using a different emulsifier, like polysorbate 20, doesn’t sufficiently thicken the solution. The recipe given is spot on, perfect! I really wouldn’t mess with it too much. DIRECTIONS: Mix dry ingredients together. Add color powder. Add wet to dry & mix. Knead the mixture with your hands. The mixture should stay together when squeezed. MOLDING, PLUG: Add mixture & push it down into the shaft & pack it. Add loose mix on top & to other side. Smoosh them together. Add jacket & tap both sides. Tap to release flat side first. Turn it upside down & tap until bomb is released. BOWLS: Fill the bowl bomb then smoosh the 2 sides together tightly. Pack it as much as possible. Place bomb on flat surface upside down & tap until the bomb releases. *** If you have issues with the bowl- add loose mix in the areas & pack it again. Dry 24 hours. ASSEMBLY: Place bombs in holder molds. Make sure all pieces fit together before assembling them; play around to find the best pairs. FILLING: Fill bombs with whatever; bubble bath, bath bomb pieces/powder, rainbow rocks, bath salt - the possibilities are endless! Use melted melt & pour soap base for glue. Work fast & be precise. Top off bomb with more fairy dust & replace plug. If the middle line bothers you, rub it to diminish its appearance. PACKAGING: Tie the bomb together (vertically) with raffia, string, or ribbon. Place it in a box with tissue, packing peanuts, or bubble wrap. Make the packaging fit tight so the bomb doesn't move or roll around. This recipe makes 3 bombs. I purchased mold on Etsy a long time ago.
