📺 Keyboard macro is a nice text editing feature of Emacs, in this video, I will show you how to use it to make a numbered list quickly in 2 steps:
1. Hit F3 to start defining a macro, and edit the text as usual, then hit F4 to end the definition.
2. Hit F4 to apply the macro.
Numbered lists are common in org-mode or markdown text, so this feature could help.
