Boss Theme Rumble 19
1. Final Boss - Metal Slug 3 Quite nice. Can't really say much, haven't played or seen anyone play these games, but at least the music seems to be good. 2. Final Cackletta - Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga The final battle. I love how they've decided not to use Bowser as the main villain in every Mario-game, especially on the newer ones. The music is Mario-quality as always, but a bit darker than normal. If I had heard this without knowing where it's from, Mario wouldn't be the first franchise to come to mind. Also YAY for Luigi finally getting screentime! 3. Dark Neclord - Suikoden 2 Never played, but sounds damn awesome. It has the vibes of a final battle, don't know if it actually is for one. But still, great, kinda religious-styled theme, like you'd be fighting either some fallen angel or the devil itself. 4. Redips' First Movement - Megaman X Command Mission Originally was gonna put all three of the movements in the same video, but then decided otherwise. The music is pretty simple, and you can tell it's only for the first part of the battle. It's like building for a huge climax, but it never comes. It feels like a long intro to the actual theme. Never played this one either, but I would be kinda interested to try. 5. Yamato-no-Orochi Extermination I & II - Okami One of the most epic battles in any videogame. Easy, but epic. The game builds the atmosphere for the battle so well that you feel like you're actually gonna face this monster yourself as you enter its chamber. The battle has two parts, first to take down the barrier protecting Orochi from any harm, second to kill of each of the eight heads. It takes quite a while and is one of the biggest highlights of the game. I used these two themes together because they are almost exactly the same, first one being a bit darker and the second being more on the epicness-side. Both are amazing. Too bad the music is actually cast aside in the battle, because Orochi isn't the most quiet villain around. 8 heads roaring at the same time = lots of noise. 6. True Heroes - Viewtiful Joe 2 This is the best way to end the first boss theme rumble of the year 2010. Nice, catchy and fast phased tunes for teh win. Also the villain looks cool. "Happy ending my big toe! I'll show you what real power is!"
