Bottling Juniper Mead pt1
Here’s the kit I use: https://www.amazon.com/Craft-Brew-Making-Reusable-Yields/dp/B09MR387CF?maas=maas_adg_36445250A98869709221DF8E2AC2119F_afap_abs&ref_=aa_maas&tag=maas In this video, we are stabilizing the mead before adding additional honey to make it a sweet as we would like. We stabilize because if we add additional honey, we risk the possibility of fermentation continuing again, which makes bottling hazardous. In this batch, I included dried juniper berries and Yarrow flower, so this will be a new flavor that I have completed! So far, it is very aromatic, slightly sweet, and definitely different! Looking forward to seeing the final result once we are able to back sweeten. Usually I do enjoy a dry wine – but I think with this aromatic blend, much like we see with lavender flavors, sweetening will mellow it out and make it a lot more palatable.
