Boxes, Barcodes and Inventory

When I started putting together a development bench, I knew where all the parts I had were, because they were right in front of me! Since then, I'm up to 7 storage units on the walls, more "bulk" boxes on shelves, along with the inventory for Expat Audio that I keep at other physical locations! Over the last few years, I've dabbled with ways to store a list of parts. Excel to begin with, then google docs etc. None of which really worked for one reason or another. I now keep an online database, on a server running mysql. It does multiple different jobs for me, including sending weekly backups to email etc! :) I'm sharing an example of the database, along with a few local-running python examples that I use to create labels, and to use with a barcode scanner. https://github.com/Audio-Rochey?tab=repositories Come on over to my github.
