Boxy Makeup Bag Tutorial - Beginner Sewing Tutorial

This week, I'm showing you how to make a boxy makeup bag. Sewing is my latest hobby obsession. I got the Brother SE700 machine, which can do both sewing and embroidery, and while I’m still learning a lot, I want to share what I think is a really easy beginner sewing project. As a beginner sewer, patterns seemed very overwhelming, so I looked for a simple, easy project that would help me learn my machine and make something fun. This box makeup bag was perfect, from learning how to do a French seam to getting to switch out the sewing foot, you're sure to learn a lot and make a cute, practical bag in the process. After testing lots of different sizes, I found that cutting my fabric to 8.5 x 11 makes the perfect-sized makeup bag. Below are some of the materials and supplies you'll need.
