We officially opened our state-of-the-art Bracknell Safety Centre on Monday 7th November 2022. Our new centre brings to life our joined-up approach to safety, housing practical learning environments for working at height, confined spaces and respiratory protection, an equipment service centre, and a new safety store - all under one roof.
To celebrate the launch, Arco welcomed special guests to the brand new £2m facility for a pre-launch day event where they had the opportunity to hear from our keynote speaker, the Arctic Explorer and Ocean Conservationist, Pen Hadow, who inspired everyone with his reflections on his solo journey from Canada to the North Pole. In his speech, he focused on high performance in challenging circumstances; achieving more with less; and the importance of safety in high-risk environments.
In addition, guests also heard from our own safety experts and practitioners on safety in mortal risk situations and managing mental health in the workplace. Plus they were able to see practical demonstrations, network with industry experts and tour the new facilities.
