Bread Pudding for Two

Sharing my mother in laws old bread pudding recipe but I've reduced it down to feed two. Drizzle with some vanilla sauce for a delicious and easy dessert for two! Find printable recipe here: https://www.yourhomebasedmom.com/wprm_print/155275 Ingredients: 2 cups of dried or stale bread, cubed (brioche, french bread, sandwich rolls etc.) 2 eggs 1 cup of milk, whipping cream or half and half. 1/3 cup brown sugar 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/8 tsp nutmeg 1/2 tsp vanilla. Grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan with butter or cooking spray. Place cubed bread in pan. In a bowl combine eggs, milk or cream, sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla. Stir to combine. Pour of over bread in pan. Gently press bread down into the liquid so that all parts of the bread comes in contact with the liquid. Allow to sit for about 10 minutes while oven preheats to 350 degrees F. Bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown on top and when you insert a knife into the middle it comes out clean. Serve with vanilla sauce. Vanilla Sauce: 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream 1/2 Tbsp vanilla. Melt butter in sauce pan. Add in remaining ingredients and cook at a low boil until thickens. It should coat the back of a wooden spoon. Drizzle over the top of bread pudding.
