Sometimes we have two ways we might go about playing a hand of bridge. Knowing some simple bridge odds can help us choose our line of play.

• Bidding: We open 2NT and partner raises to 3NT.
• Play: The club suit will break 3-2 about two thirds of the time, the diamond finesse will work half the time. On this hand we can combine our chances by playing clubs first to see if they break.
• Result: The final result is 3NT making 3 for a score of 400.
