The brioche unwrapped decrease is an alternative to the brioche left slanting decrease, used in some patterns to keep the dark color yarn from peeking through on the right side of the piece. It can make your knitting look neater and remove any directionality from the decreases in a 2-color brioche stitch pattern. This stitch is used in the Arabesque Hat as well as a growing number of knitting patterns on Ravelry. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/arabesque-hat
