Broken Ford Sync APIM Repair\Replace\Reprogram

Thank you to "PlatinumOwner" on Explorer forums for his writeup help! (Still took me a long while to figure it all out, hopefully this video will save some people the pain I went through) You may have to update the firmware on the sync to complete the procedure. I had to download a patch from Ford to bring the sync up to a newer version which finally restored Navigation.
