This video shows my process of creating four relief panels that are pieced together to form the image of a Chinese lion guardian (石狮 shi shi）. Plastiline (oil clay) is used to sculpt each panel, then silicone to make molds. After the molds are made, the panels are cast with plaster of Paris and toned with oil paint. Epoxy resin is then applied to seal the surface.
