Browning 2000

Next up, the Browning 2000, the first gas operated shotgun produced by Browning. It’s a great shotgun for tall shooters or anyone with large hands and who likes a long length of pull. I shoot great with it and really worked well with its smooth operation and feel. It’s lack of sales success had nothing to do with it’s performance strangely enough.....it was just bad timing in the marketplace. The Remington 1100 was dominant in the early 70’s and screw in chokes and receivers capable of chambering both 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells were all the rage......irrespective of the shotguns performance. This shotgun could do all that with simple barrel changes but was considered “behind the times”. The Browning 2000 was loved by those who shot it and looked at sideways by those who didn’t but I’ll tell you this......I wish I would have found mine much earlier.
