For a small business, the owners are usually responsible for approving and often drafting organisational policies. So you can appreciate that the processes will vary vastly, from a series of approvals at different organisational levels over the period of development, down to a single point of contact for all policy approvals. To create a process, consider the use of a project map, work breakdown schedule, or flow chart. Applications such as LucidChart and Microsoft Visio can help you create such a representation. Though, with a little elbow grease, you can create great looking and functional process diagrams in powerpoint or canva as well.
