What is "both" mode, you ask? It combines the best of both worlds, mixing preset sounds with the front panel controls. When you design a program with both mode in mind, it's best to leave a little headroom so your sliders can add to the parameters set up in the program. Also, it's good to know that when you switch to both mode, all the switches on the front panel take over all the settings that were made in the program.
(Tangentially: If you have a BEMI Easel without a "both mode" modification, you'll need to put a piece of Kapton tape over pin 10 on the Program Manager card. There is small piece of Kapton tape attached to the top left corner of the blue padded envelope the PMC is packed in. )
