In this video I will show how I wire the Band saw mill. I created this segment to show how I used 12 volts to control all functions on the mill including 120 volts used for the drive and debarking saw. I also used 12 volts to drive the hydraulic head lift. The idea is that mills using hydraulics for all functions are very expensive to build, electrical is cheaper. Wire is much cheaper and easier to work hydraulic hose. Components such as motors and actuators are cheaper that hydraulic cylinders, valves, and motors. Electrical components are more available and easier to use. I also discuss some of the tricks I have learned over many years of wiring complex systems.
