Building Collaborative Experiences with Theia

Presented by Mark Sujew virtually at TheiaCon 2024. With the recent release of the new collaboration feature in Theia, adopters of the Theia framework are now able to craft custom collaborative editing experiences for their users. Be it simple text editors, diagram editors or even more involved custom views. In this talk, I'll present the technology stack that powers the collaboration features in Theia, and we'll talk about the roadmap of the feature for the foreseeable future. Finally, a short demo will show the current capabilities of the collaboration features available in Theia.
