Australian Paperbark is an incredible material with amazing variation in colour and texture. It’s also found everywhere from inner city streets to outback swamps and is a completely renewable resource, so why not build with it?
Together with students from RMIT we developed a method for constructing a partition wall almost entirely from Melaleuca and Eucalyptus bark using digital guides viewed in Augmented Reality on the HoloLens 2.
The result are some strange and beautiful objects that you might almost believe to have just emerged from the bush.
